WORK BEGINS ON THE NEW RUNWAY AT MIHAIL KOGĂLNICEANU AIR BASE 57
On June 11, 2024, we marked a historic moment: the official inauguration of the construction of the new takeoff-landing runway at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base 57, the first military project of its kind in Romania since 1990.
The new runway is part of a comprehensive military base extension project and is specially designed to support tandem takeoffs of fighter jets, while also accommodating heavy traffic, such as large transport aircraft.
Bog’Art, along with our partners ADURO (lead associate) and STRABAG, is honored to play a pivotal role in strengthening the capabilities of Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base and supporting the national defense infrastructure.
